The Market is Turning Around
According to GRAR (Grand Rapids Association of Realtors) sales for March of 2009 were up 19% from March of 2008. That is such positive news, if only mass media channels would discuss the positives in the real estate world. Consumer's confidence needs to be restored that it's ok to buy a home right now and in fact it is the BEST TIME to buy a home right now. Interest rates haven't been this low in decades. Housing prices are at historical lows and YES banks ARE lending money. So, if you are financially qualified and looking to buy a home, BUY NOW! Owning a home is still one of the greatest investments someone can make over a loner period of time.
Welcome!
I am excited to begin a blog that allows me the opportunity to share my ideas, thoughts and experiences for my passion of Real Estate and more specifically new home construction as well as many other topics. I have been blessed to work for a wonderful building company, Eastbrook Homes, for over six years now. I have so much fun helping people build their dreams and move in to a place to create wonderful memories.
My husband and I began some of our memories two years ago in an Eastbrook home that we customized and personalized so it was just right for us. There is nothing more exciting than walking into a brand new home that is all yours that you've created into your special place. We've filled it with two crazy dogs and a moody cat. We love our home and we really love our energy bills compared to our apartment. We save over $100 a month versus our apartment just in utilities. Our home is Energy Star rated making it very energy efficient even in our lovely Michigan winters.
I hope you enjoy my blog!
